Chocolate milk! It’s rich, smooth and refreshing (and no, it doesn’t come from brown cows…).

But how do you make vegan chocolate milk?

It’s easier than you think! It literally takes two minutes. Like, literally.

It’s almost too easy to make; you might find yourself making this vegan chocolate milk all the time! (The same thing goes for this 15-minute vegan ice cream recipe…)

This vegan chocolate milk recipe from Traditional Cooking School makes four dairy-free/vegan chocolate milk four servings. It is suitable for lactose intolerant people, paleo people and human people (unless you have a nut allergy…).

Vegan Chocolate Milk Recipe Variations

If You Don’t Have A Blender

You don’t need a blender to make this vegan chocolate milk recipe. If you don’t own a blender, a whisk and some willpower will get you there. If you have a protein shake bottle, you could shake it up too!

If You Want To Use Cacao Instead of Cocoa

Yes, you can! Just substitute the cocoa powder for cacao powder.

If you’re saying to yourself, “what the hell is cacao?”, I’ve got the answer right here. Cocoa powder is processed at high temperatures, whilst cacao powder is not. This means that cacao has a milder taste and is higher in protein, fibre, magnesium and iron.

If You Want A Lower Sugar Version

If you’re watching your sugar intake, you can still enjoy this vegan chocolate milk recipe; just swap out the honey for brown rice syrup! Honey (typically) has 17g of sugar per tablespoon, whereas brown rice syrup (typically) has just 12.5g of sugar per tablespoon.

If You’re Feeling Adventurous…

Vegan chocolate milk is great, meaning the only way to top it is to well – top it! I’m talking vegan whipped cream, vegan chocolate chips, nuts….*drools*
