What is the book (or books) you’ve given most as a gift, and why?

The two books that have greatly influenced my life are "Starting Strength," "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover," and "12 Rules For Life."

When You Feel Overwhelmed Or Unfocused, Or Have Lost Your Focus Temporarily, What Do You Do?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back and figure out what is the smallest task I can do tackle on whatever I have to accomplish. This helps me manage my stress and keeps me on track.

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

Self ownership is everything. Everything that happens to you is your fault, whether or not it is true.

What is the most significant thing that someone much younger than yourself has taught you?

You can accomplish or start anything you want whether or not you have the credentials. You just need the courage to do it.

I'm an online fitness and nutrition coach. I help busy men and women lose fat and build muscle without having to live in the gym or give up their favorite foods.

Where do you see your industry in the next 5 years?

The fitness industry will continue doing what it is now with different tribes and beliefs.

How has Covid-19 changed your industry?

Fitness chains are pretty much going to be either obsolete or no long as popular. Small boutique studios and online fitness will reign supreme.

What's your favourite colour?

Royal blue

Are you vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian or something else entirely?

Flexitarian, I eat pretty much anything

If you could only do ONE type of exercise for the all around fitness what would it be?

Definitely weight training!

What's the most underrated type of exercise in your opinion?

Jumping rope

Who do you want to be when you grow up?

I wanted to be either an archaeologist or zoo keeper but that can still happen!

What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?

You have to prioritize cardio in order to lose fat. Drives me insane because it's false.

What's your favourite vegan meal?

Black bean burger with sweet potatoes!

What is one of the best or most worthwhile investments you’ve ever made?

Investing into self-improvement, stocks, and my own fitness has paid off huge in dividends.

What careers advice would you give to your 21-year old self?

Prioritize your health and fitness, learn sales, network and connect with as many people as you can.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Eventually working at a safari would be cool!

Tell us about someone you admire and why you admire them?

My former business coach. He's helped me a ton in growing my business and watching him take his to new heights has been inspiring.

How has Covid-19 changed your company?

I do both in-person and online coaching transitioning to full-time. Covid just expedited the process.

Cape Town

Soccer and tennis

What's your favourite type of exercise?

Weight training for sure!

What's a myth about fitness that you most people believe to be true that's actually false

Doing cardio and crunches will help you lose the fat and flatten your tummy.
